In the last episode of the series Solutions for the Amazon developed within the framework of the All Eyes on the Amazon (AEA) program, we present the Nuwas Forest initiative, a protected space conserved exclusively by women of the Awajún people in Peru.
Through the identification and planting of ancestral plants, the Awajún women have managed to rescue their forest and the ancestral knowledge of their people, despite challenges such as sexism and the pandemic.
They currently have a brand of herbal infusions and venture into community tourism to share their learnings on caring for nature and their culture.

Criminal Justice Observatory: Defense of indigenous rights 💪

In a context of constant criminalization of Indigenous peoples in Brazil for the fight for their rights, we highlight the work of the Observatory of the Criminal Justice System and Indigenous Peoples of APIB in the 7th episode of the #SolutionsfortheAmazon vlog series, developed by Hivos in the framework of the All Eyes on the Amazon program.

AEA Platform: Collective learning for the defense of the Amazon

In the sixth episode of Solutions for the Amazon we learn about the AEA Learning Platform, a collective learning space designed collaboratively by the partner organizations of the All Eyes on the Amazon program.
The Platform was designed to prioritize the orality of the Amazonian peoples, and respond to the characteristics of connectivity in the Amazon. For this reason, it is 100% adaptable to various devices and low connectivity, and allows the download of a variety of content to be consulted offline.
